    Hi,

Passion is the driver of being deeply alive. I appreciate your rant and fully applaud it. I have a third grader who is learning about what proper and appropriate behavior is…..not what passion and deep fascinations is and the type of behavior that is awesome and can make things happen, where connections are easy and where the contribution is only limited by the imagination.

More, more passsion and deep engagement with what we want and care about.

    Thanks for this post, Devon.

I can relate to your thoughts on education and felt exactly as you described when I graduated from my undergraduate program - gnarled and indecisive. I found myself seeking some form of “post-undergrad rehabilitation” to re-energize my creative energies and fuel my passion for life again. Phoenix has been helping!

As a sidenote for anyone who is interested, Ken Robinson did a fantastic talk on school and creativity at the TED conference in 2006:
